What is Yawning ?
Yawning is a part of involuntary functions in which we fill our lungs with air by opening our mouth and breathing in deeply. The word Yawning came from Gionian in old english and it means to ''open the mouth wide''. Yawning occur for very short period of time.
Why do we Yawn
- We usually yawn while we are tired or bored, in this case we sometime slowed breathing.
- Yawn helps to bring more oxygen to in and serve more carbon dioxide out.
- Some time we Yawn while we are not tired so in this case the body is trying to wake itself.
- We yawn to regenerate the energy which we may have loss.
- Our mind focus more or become extra concentrate after yawning.
Why our eyes become watery after Yawning ?
While yawning our facial muscles contract, and it applies some pressure on lacrimal glands which is lso known as ''tear glands''. After this pressure a little amount of water is released from our eyes and this is how our eyes become watery while we are yawning.
Benefits of Yawning -
1. Yawning increases the blood flow in the neck, face and head.
2. Yawning stretches the lungs as well as its tissue also.
3. Yawning makes the muscles and joints more flexible.
4. Yawning increases the alertness of our body.
5. Yawning helps to cool the brain.
6. Yawning helps in equalizing the air pressure into our years.
7. Yawning increase the oxygen circulation in brain.
Yawning is very common and there is no need to stop it but if you want to get rid from excessive yawning so you can try over following points -
1. Try deep breath
2. Get moving
3. Cool yourself down
Although there is no serious matter if you Yawn a lot but for your satisfaction you can see your doctor. There you may tell about your physical health like if is there a pain anywhere in your body, lack of sleep or about mental health.
